What is KLADEA?

Last February some residents in the area surrounding the town lands of Clash, Lisheenroe, Clooneen, Reanasallagh and Ballinbrittig were informed of the proposed development of 8 gigantic wind turbines.
An action group (KLADEA) was formed and extensive research revealed the very worrying adverse effects of wind turbines in a populated area, such as:

Industrialisation of the entire area
Noise - which can be heard up to 2 miles away
Shadow flicker and noise, which can affect people’s health
Devaluation of property
Interference of TV/Radio/Phone reception

KLADEA is fighting to stop this development.
The application for the wind farm is imminent and from date of application, the local Community has 5 weeks to object.
